CVE’s range of 60kV electron beam welding machines is ideal for welding small-to-medium-sized components with high efficiency. These machines are suitable for use with all metals, including materials with high thermal conductivity such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium and its alloys, nickel alloys, refractory metals, titanium and its alloys.
The 60kV machines can also be used with specialist materials such as zirconium, molybdenum, tantalum, hafnium, tungsten and niobium. Their low heat input makes them particularly suitable for applications where sensitive internal electronics packages need to be sealed within a device without being damaged.

In addition to the industries above, CVE’s advanced technology excels at the complex joining of exotic and challenging material combinations, including the welding of metals with highly dissimilar melting points. Our specialised processes successfully bridge metallurgical gaps to bond copper to steel, copper or steel to nickel alloys, and steel to Inconel. Furthermore, our systems deliver exceptional precision for highly refractory combinations like tantalum to tungsten, achieving near-parent metal strength with minimal distortion and without the need for filler materials.
CVE have two 60kV machine types, ECO and CW.
