Laser Models are CVE’s range of conventional laser beam welding machines, welding at atmospheric pressure using a shielding gas.

Compared with electron beam welding, no x-rays are produced, so an expensive vacuum chamber is not required; this also means productivity can be high, especially where one source delivers multiple beams.

What is Conventional Laser Welding?

Our machines perform the weld in a protective atmosphere and include a complete work handling package, with the process fully automated as standard; we offer a variety of laser, optics and welding heads to suit the application.

Conventional laser beam welding typically takes place at atmospheric pressure, using a shielding gas to protect the weld area from oxygen and water vapour, with a suitable extraction system built into the equipment.

Compared with electron beam welding, no x-rays are produced, so the process does not require an expensive vacuum chamber; this keeps productivity high, especially where one source delivers multiple beams.

Each machine performs the weld in a protective atmosphere and includes a complete work handling package, with the process fully automated as standard.

CVE offers a variety of laser, optics and welding heads, so the configuration can be matched to the application.
