A manufacturer supplying critical components to the oil and gas industry needed to produce hermetically sealed assemblies for use in harsh operating environments. These components required:

CVE’s experience with precision sensors, pressure transducers and valve-related assemblies made EBW particularly well suited to demanding oil and gas applications. We have specific expertise welding super-duplex stainless steel, a notoriously difficult material due to its microstructural balance, including phase balance shift, intermetallic phase formation, a narrow heat input window and solidification behaviour. Alongside the metallurgy, rigorous procedure control is essential; CVE has established deep process experience to manage this reliably.
